# Intelligence is Overrated

But it is also an undeniable and easily verifiable truth that Shania Twain is directly related to Mark Twain.

Eilleen Edward’s mother Sharon later married Jerry Twain. Jerry adopted all of Sharon’s children and they took on the new family’s last name of Twain.

Then Sharon and Jerry had a son and named him Mark. Mark Twain.

Mark Twain is Shania Twain’s younger half brother. Probably a lousy writer.

Unlikely that she is related to Sam Clemens. But she is definitely related to Mark Twain. As just a little bit of research by the intelligent posters in this thread would have shown. 😉
