Possible reply to 104:

Does North Carolina allow people to execute their assailants? I’m not sure however about the use of murder rather than kill.

102A. On the way to work, the man is listening to the radio. The deejay calls his house as a prank call, and male voice answers the phone on the air. Man drives home, confronts his wife’s lover and shoots the wife for being unfaithful. (Lover may have escaped or may have also been shot.)

102B. Man is driving to work and is checking his messages on the cellular phone, not realizing he had picked up his wife’s phone. Her lover had left an explicit message (either regarding an upcoming tryst or possibly arranging her divorce proceedings) for her. Man drives home and shoots his wife.

> Question 4
> A hunter leaves his cabin early in the morning and walks one mile due south. Here he sees a bear and starts chasing it for one mile due east before he is able to shoot the bear. After shooting the bear, he drags it one mile due north back to his cabin where he started that morning. What color is the bear?

Technically, besides the North Pole, there are an infinite number of points about 1.16 miles away from the South Pole, where you can walk 1 mile south, walk one mile east (all the way around the earth back to the same spot), and then back north again. I’m not sure about the color of bears near the south pole.

_Very_ close! 🙂 (From memory expert Harry Lorayne) In the version I am alluding to, the man tuned his car radio to a game show that called people’s homes.
For 104: The explanation was: “A woman in North Carolina fires a bullet from a rifle over the state line into Tennessee and kills her husband. The woman never comes over into Tennessee.” --Dick Hyman, _Cockeyed Americana_ 😃
