Thanks for the recipe. I made it today with the Aldi brand Ritz-type crackers, and it turned out great! Just added a little pepper to the flour, but otherwise kept things the recipe the same. It’s a keeper.

But they are a pain to make* - hopefully you made an extra 2, 3 or 24 to freeze for later, as long as you have that huge mess in the kitchen while making them.
*I was sorely tempted to make them last weekend, after mentioning it here…but then I wimped out and decided I wasn’t in the mood to pound that meat - keep the snide comments to yourselves, readers - and maybe will get the energy to make them this or next weekend.

I usually make my own filling, but mrAru has cheated and used the canned mixed oriental veggies from [?] La Choy. I prefer to make shrimp, with the precooked cocktail [60 count] shrimp, but you can use any already cooked protein. to be fairly honest about them, they are a decent proportion of veggie to fat/protein and not all that unhealthy.
Fried tofu puffs. Mix generic duck sauce with a bit of sriracha sauce and a bit of pineapple juice [unsweetened] as a dip.
