Who’s up for a huge dopefest in the capital of the British Empire next summer? There were mutterings in LA about a Londope in July, although admittedly it was me doing most of the muttering. How many 'Merkans have the courage/cash/wings to cross the Atlantic and boost our tourist industry with their almighty dollars? We could organize a truly epic pub crawl, or take over the London Eye or something. I also envisage some kind of Europe versus America contest - perhaps involving a goat. Any takers? Alex B ---

I hate you for this, Alex 😛 I’ve been dying to go to England for YEARS, but I’ll never be able to get the time off by next summer – 'cause I’d have to stay a couple weeks at least and work won’t go for that when I still owe them vacation time ☹ ---

**Courage** - hmmm… well, I’ve flown 3 times since “The Bad Things” happened. And if you’re talking fear of high drunken debauchery levels, I attendeded the last big ChiDope. I challenge you guys to beat the standard of public lewdness and drunkenness that we set in August. _Check._ **Cash** - I’m employed again, and airfares are probably cheap. _Check._ **Wings** - ummm… no, but isn’t that what British Air is for? A Dope of Two Cities ? **Manny’s** looking into something similar in Paris for Jan/Feb. It’s only a £50 train ride between the two (booking two weeks in advance) and the flights from the US look damn cheap. So…I have no idea what that means. A weekend Fest with a day trip one way or the other across the Channel ? Should be good accommodation deals that time of year, though. ---

I was thinking maybe June or July time - ideal summer vacation opportunity. People are welcome to crash at my house as long as they don’t mind fighting over who gets to sleep in the bed or on the floor. We made the pilgrimage to the US… it’s payback time 😉 ---

If you want chocolate martinis, you’ll have to recruit **Nen**. **UncleBill** claims to make a good chocolate martini, but I have yet to test the veracity of this claim. I would love to go. I spent a couple weeks in London in 1998 and adored it. So I will tentatively start planning for the trip - thank you for announcing this so early, it makes it easier for those of us travelling long distances! ---
