All places at mine now taken - **Coldie** and **LaurAnge** will be staying and thus I get to play host to The Bewildered American again. Huzzah! The V & A sounds good (and free!) to me. Haven’t been there for a while. Anyone else have a view on daytime shenanigans? ---

For daytime activities I would suggest Tate Modern, the [Game On](http://www.gameonweb.co.uk/index.htm) exhibition at the Barbican (although that’s £11) or the [Body Worlds](http://www.bodyworlds.co.uk/en/home.asp) exhibition near Brick Lane (that’s the one with the mummified corpses). ---

Alright, the Paddies are confirmed! Londoners, can you do a small favour? Kindly have your municipal authorities lower all curbs and other elevations larger than .5 millimeter. Mr OfFate has some trouble negotiating such obstacles after a pint or two. 🙂 It’ll be good sharing a pint or two with you lads again. 🙂 ---

Just had a quick check on [www.pubs.com](http://www.pubs.com) Found these two which are both fairly close to Paddington Station… [The Archery Tavern](http://www.pubs.com/archw2.htm) - Looks quite sweet, [map here](http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=526762&y=180910&z=1&sv=bathurst+street&st=6&tl=BATHURST+STREET,LONDON,W_2&searchp=newsearch.srf&mapp=newmap.srf) and [The Mitre](http://www.pubs.com/mitrw2.htm) - apparently has a function room, [map here](http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=526514&y=180863&z=1&sv=craven+terrace&st=6&tl=CRAVEN+TERRACE,LONDON,W_2&searchp=newsearch.srf&mapp=newmap.srf) I’ve never been to either of them, so I have no idea what they’re like… might be worth looking into though. If I get time, I might try wandering down to Paddington and conduct a little survey of surrounding pubs, purely in the interests of your comfort of course… 😃 ---

I will be leaving for London _tomorrow_, and will return to the United States on the 20th of July. I’ll miss LonDope II by almost two weeks. ☹ In other news, **Coldfire** , I may actually be visiting Amsterdam. We’ll have to see. My hostess is a busy consultant-type, so we may end up in Scotland for the weekend as her job seems to be dragging her from London to Edinburgh to Glasgow and back.
