I always used to use internet explorer, then about 2 months ago I switched to firefox. Now, all the sudden, when firefox is open pop-up adds will open up in internet explorer. I have the pop-up blocker in explorer set to maximum, and ive run several spyware removers. Is there some way to stop this from happening? it only happens when firefox is open. thanks ---

That Firefox is set to the default browser. Goodluck ---

Check that Firefox is default browser for .html and .shtml. ---

You don’t have the IETab or IEView Firefox extensions installed, do you? I don’t know if it would be relevant, but it might be worth knowing. ---

There’s a very bad piece of spyware making the rounds, called Vmonde that has these same symptoms. The only tool I’ve found effective in removing it is [Vundofix](http://www.atribune.org/content/view/24/2/) . You might want to give it a try. ---
