# Interracial couple denied marriage license.

HAMMOND, La. - A Louisiana justice of the peace said he [refused to issue](http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33332436/ns/us_news-race_and_ethnicity/) a marriage license to an interracial couple out of concern for any children the couple might have.

What do you think ?

I think that judge is in for a whole world of shit.

Goofiest thing I’ve heard in awhile. If I were from Louisiana I’d be particularly annoyed.

Maybe he’d listened to a same-sex-marriage advocate comparing the ban on same sex marriage to the historical bans on interracial marriage, decided they had a point, and went to the opposite conclusion than intended?
