**Rosie and Soapy** I guess pretty is in the eye of the beholder because I look at those pics and video and think “ICK!” Definitely not a fan of snow here. **N.O.L.** shall be grilled chickin sallit. I saw an article the other day on CNN(?) where the Missouri Synod Lutherans had to speak sternly to one of their pastors for taking part in the Newtown Prayer Vigil because they don’t do interfaith services. Makes me glad I was raised ELCA which also :eek: **gasp** :eek: doesn’t hate The Gay! This is why I proudly claim Lutheran as part of my heritage even though I’ve veered a bit from the faith itself. I need to defilthify, do laundry, and take a walk. ---

Pintos and rear end explosions do go well together. 😃 This is true for both the car and the bean. OYKW is not a pinto bean fan but I loves me some pinto beans. Time to purtify for funeralizin’. Le Sigh. ---

My brother & I, back in high school, totalled my mom’s Pinto four times; the local shop would do a visual estimate which _just happened_ to be less than the maximum amount the insurance company would pay for, then once they got under the hood they’d find another grand or so’s worth of repairs. My brother once bounced all four corners off of one guard rail… ---

Greetings from my mom’s computer. I just did some electronic housekeeping for her and I need to figure out why her Word is acting weird. The motorcycle show was CROWDED!!! It took forever just to get into the parking lot! We walked around for a couple of hours, and along with new and used motorcycles and accessories, there were booths selling jewelry and hot tubs! 😕 I swear, some vendors just go to every show there is - very weird. The people watching was interesting - some really interesting looking characters there, and quite a few scantily-clad chickies. I got a kick out of looking at all the paunchy middle-aged guys staring at the chickies - dream on, skippy… 😛 I also get the impression that many biker-types mistake asshole-ishness for wit, judging by some t-shirts, patches, and adhesive helmet thingies. Some of the sayings were downright rude and gross. Oh, and Pagan’s (yes, that’s how it was spelled on all of their jackets) are not the brightest bikers on the road. They wear all these bad-ass patches on their jackets, but they don’t know the difference between possessive and plural. Morons. :rolleyes: Mom’s making us a nice dinner. But for now, we’re vegging. Speaking of NSA - I have a cousin-in-law who worked there. He used to make a big deal about it, which should have tipped me off. He wasn’t a spook or anything - he worked in their comptroller’s section. But he wanted everyone to believe he knew all kinds of secrets. yeah, whatever… :rolleyes: ---

I am a little ticked, had to miss the Houston mini-Dopefest on account of family drama and to boot had a crappy lunch instead. I know first world problems. This did give me an idea, which I would like to test on you guys since I know you, sorta. I am going on tour this year, don’t have the dates yet but if past is any indicator of future, I should hit at least 20 states and a couple of Canadian provinces. I would like to take a photo with as many Dopers a humanly possible. I almost always have comp tickets available, I am the Tour Manager and the Band is awesome (Matt Schofield Trio) but of course not everyones taste. So what do you think Mumpers, want to take a photo with a road warrior? Masks and disguises allowed. **Jim** ETA have been musing on this for a while because last year I drove by **Swampy’s** cave, flew over **Mooom’s** house and did several shows in the region etc ---

Haven’t been in the mountains of NC since the days of the Asylum Street Spankers but **Spaz** with booking agents you never really know where you will be. BTW that part of the country is teh purty. Long Island? Was there last year but I can’t offhand remember where we played other than we were next to the LIRR elevated tracks, sure that helps 😃 **Jim** ---

Back at da cave after funeralizin’. Actually I’ve been home about half and hour. I changed out of the suit into shirt and khakis for the reception to which we shall be goin’ in just a little while.
