Good morning, Mumplandia!!! Bad night last night - \*\*FCD \*\*was chasing bunnies in his sleep or something. He was really twitchy and he bonked me in the head a couple of times. I don’t know what he was dreaming but he was unhappy with someone. Between that and my own weird dreams, I didn’t get a lot of sleep. It’s gonna be a long day. Plus we’ve got to stop at WalMart on the way home for doggeh food and bar soap. \*\*BBBobbio \*\*- I can’t believe I never made a South Park connection. :smack: \*\*Spaz \*\*- that’s not a mid-life crisis - that’s the plot of a really bad sitcom. :eek: \*\*gotti \*\*- don’t make such a big deal - just return the damaged items and they will be replaced… 😛 At least it’s payday. I hate being paid twice a month. Every other Friday was so much easier to track. Now paydays fall within a window of 3-6 days after the 15th or the last day of the month, depending upon whether there’s a weekend or holiday in there. It’s like money roulette - where it stops, nobody knows! This would have been really unpleasant back in the days when we were paycheck-to-paycheck. Anyway, Happy Wednesday! ---

I have been blurfy all day today, luckily it’s pub night later so that will perk me up. This morning the weatherman on the local news had a fancy map with wind arrows and everything, then he proceeded to tell us all that we’d be facing bitterly cold northerly winds coming down from the Antarctic. I had to check in case he was forecasting standing on his head. ---

Just not my week for good customer service. We got home from the “setup” appointment to find a message saying that DH was scheduled for a PET scan today. They couldn’t have told us this when we were there? Unfortunately, a PET scan does not involve letting puppies walk on you. At least Amazon figured things out and is re-shipping the order today. Hopefully this time they lick the tape. ---

I saw a show once where someone wealthy designed their home so that it had a different architectural style from each of the four sides. It looks like our standard old Southern courthouse. I expected to see Atticus Finch standing on the steps. ---

Damned insurance company, found out the reason my premium went from $117 to $281 is because the company changed their rules and now the minimum premium for any company is $250. The agent said she shopped around for me and can’t find anything better. However they will knock off the $31 since I don’t need coverage which protects me from suing myself. Just in case I take it in my head to slander, libel or fire myself. :rolleyes: One PITA down, about a dozen more to go. ---

Many years ago (possibly pre-I-95) my dad was caught speeding in VA. As he was from out of town, he was “arrested”, which consisted of following the trooper into town & walking into the building with a red/white pole outside. The barber then took off his white robe & replaced it with a black one & commenced with his “trial”. Cost him $10 (which was worth considerably more back then) ---
