I’m so bad. I just googled this and didn’t realize I already posted in this thread 7 years ago. It’s crazy that even after that long, this is STILL the only result for that topic.
Right here with you guys. Been crossing this thread for years. A rose/pen ink smell was most accurate for me as well. I’d also describe it as a sickeningly sweet. I find it sticks in my nose and the back of my throat very strongly about 15-30 min after taking it. The subtle warm, aloof n hazey feeling is there too. ESPECIALLY with the red coated ones. Would love for this to be investigated into, maybe ill see y’all in a trial on day lol. Glad we’ve all managed to come across this post one way or another, it’s unbelievable I can’t find anything else about this online.
I, 64th the weird acetaminophen smell.
Yeah, so I found this thread the same way as everyone else… I have stage-4 cirrhosis. My hepatologist says that I can take up to 2,000 mgs of acetaminophen/day. With having cirrhosis, I have a lot of pain and inflammation - mostly in my back. Some days I get spasms to where I can’t even stand up to make myself food. During those spasms, I sometimes attempt to do whatever to mitigate the pain, which may include taking more acetaminophen than I’m “allowed.” Only then do I get the weird smell, so I assumed it to be liver related. To me the smell has kind of an amonia hint to it - along with the exploded pen (good description), which would make liver/cirrhosis sense. Hence why I looked up the smell, to see if I was/am expediting the dying process by taking too much acetaminophen at times.

Couldn’t you take w-a-y less opioid at this point?
Jeez, that’s terrible for you.
Good luck.
