Depends on where the intruder is and how much time I have to reach a weapon. From my bed, I can reach a S&W Model 28 loaded with wadcutters and Glasers. I can move my hand less than a foot from that and deploy a High Power loaded with hollowpoints. The Mossberg is in the closet, also loaded, with #4 buckshot and slugs. If I get a minute to get ready, I can also deal with intruders into the neighborhood or airspace. ---

10 mm pistol. No particular reason why I chose that other than that I already sleep with one. ---

What we have at home. Mossberg 500. Pump action makes it nice and clear you have a gun without exposing yourself, couple rounds so you don’t have to reload, not too bad as far as penetrating walls. And hefty enough to whack people with like a whacking stick.
