# Invent the femal form of Cuckold

So a “cuckold” is a man whose wife is cheating on him.

For various speculative social reasons, there is [no word for a wife whose husband is cheating on her](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=291734&highlight=cuckold).

So let’s make one up! Unless someone knows a word for this from other cultures.

I’ve seen the word _cuckquean_, which [this page](http://www.sex-lexis.com/Sex-Dictionary/cuckquean) says was used during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

How about “henold”?

“Mano cornuta” means “horned hand,” a gesture wherein the little and index finger are pointed upwards while the rest are balled in a fist. Often used in rock concerts and the like. This gesture alluded to the horns of a man which symbolized his cuckoldness. From this, how about “donna cornuta,” meaning, “a horned woman”?
