Just found your site while searching (on Google) for the history of tampons. I found this entry:

> **[Who invented tampons?](https://www.straightdope.com/21343395/who-invented-tampons)**
>
> A STAFF REPORT FROM THE STRAIGHT DOPE SCIENCE ADVISORY BOARD

Fascinating stuff but it would be good to have some reference to recent environmental arguments against disposable sanitary protection and the re-usable alternatives such as Moon Cup and the like.

> **[Mooncup Menstrual Cup | The Original Silicone Cup](https://www.mooncup.co.uk/)**
>
> Mooncup is the original, soft, silicone menstrual cup designed by women as the convenient, safe & eco-friendly alternative to tampons & pads.

Thanks for a great entry though.

There’s a paragraph near the end that addresses (briefly) environmental concerns.
