The best I could do would be to invite three famous people born in January. JRR Tolkien, Robert E Howard and Elvis Presley. That would be an interesting dinner. ---

That was more interesting than I was expecting. I already knew I shared a birthday with Tennessee Williams and Diana Ross, but I wasn’t aware of the many many other famous people. Ridley Scott doesn’t quite fit in with the others, but WTH - it’s my dinner. The real issue is that I’d like to have dinner with each of them separately. Maybe we could make it a weekend retreat so we can have some quality time. (Not that kind - out of the gutters people) ETA: I misread the OP and thought it was 5 guests. Oh well, Ridley will have to wait for another evening. ---

Assuming that we can all understand each other I’ll go with Jon Stewart, Japanese prince Hitachi Masahito (born 1935), father of anthropology Claude Levi-Strauss, and Manuel I Komnenos, Byzantine emperor from 1143-1180. I am somewhat tempted to replace one of those with Ernst Rohm, but I’m not sure who.
