I got myself a used iPad II. Cleaned, fresh install of newest OS for the iPad.

Installed Facebook app for it. Works fine- EXCEPT for this one very annoying issue: I cannot download a photo from someone’s post.

I know the procedure: Click on the post, the photo enlarges to fill the screen, comments on the right side. All good. Hold down my finger over the photo. After a few seconds, several options appear. “Save Photo” is one of them. I click it.

Nothing happens. I used to ( on my OLD iPad II ) be able to find it downloaded right into the Photos app.

Now? Nothing. As though I didn’t chose to save it. I can download photos from email. I can download photos from Facebook Messenger.

But, on Facebook itself? Nothing.

Ideas?

Try this:

> [@](#):
>
> Launch the Settings app with a tap, then tap on Privacy on the left side. Once int he Privacy settings, Tap on Photos. You’ll see a list of all the apps you have on your iPad or iPhone that have requested access to your Photos. If Facebook is toggled OFF, make sure you tap it to toggle it to ON. You’ll then be able to save photos from within the Facebook app right to your Camera Roll, as before.

If none of that works, just take a screenshot.
