# iPhone 4s owners: how's Siri?

Canadian - since all of our carriers use SIM cards and I ordered an unlocked version it comes sans SIM. I’ll stop in at the local Rogers store in 37.2 mins and have everything configured and playable within the hour. Kidlett is going to be very happy when she gets home and her hand me down is on her desk.

So…the Rogers iPhone has a DIFFERENT sim chip than my sim chip from my Blackberry? Or is it just because you bought it third party?

No, my previous phone was a Rogers 3GS which uses a full size SIM. Iphone 4 and 4S both use micro SIM. Blackberry, depending on model, could use either.

No, mine’s a full sized SIM chip. I don’t suppose I can just trim it down, can I? People told me that was a possibility, once!

I wouldn’t think so 🙂 It’s only $10 for the SIM though so not really a big deal.
I can now confirm that Siri is addicting and doesn’t like background noise. I had to drive to the office today so I figured I would spend the drive chatting with Siri to pass the time. Had to put on my headset at the first stoplight because she couldn’t hear me clearly enough over the road noise.
Also, she can’t create new contacts. That’s a weird limitation.

Iris updated yesterday and can do even more. But, I tried asking something and one of my dogs BARKED. Iris interpreted the bark as “fuck” and gave a definition of the term. 😃

It’s a big enough deal for me, since I want to save some contacts and such that are only on my chip! That, and it’s survived three phones, I’ve come to be sentimental about it, like the license plate on the family car! 😃

I don’t have an iPhone anymore; but I want to add my .02 in this thread. I now have a windows 7.5 phone and I LOVE the voice feature. It works incredibly well (Samsung Focus). I found out something humorous for some of you iPhone people to try…
When I send a voice text to someone and I say a curse word; It bleeps the word! Someone send a voice text with George Carlin’s 7 dirty words and let me know how it does. For me it was along the lines of !# !#% # ~!# ~!#~#% Mother #!@# %%#@. 🙂

Nope! Just tried it, and although Siri got a couple of the words wrong (she translated “…and tits” as “…and it”), all the other words were there in all their glory.
Experiment 2: actually _sending_ the text and seeing how it comes through.
Update: Yes, my fellow iPhone 4s user reports that the words came through as sent. No @##$$.
