iPhone power usage over a year

No problemo. Start an employee fitness program. Buy stationary bicycles. Hook up this $400 generator. Savings galore!

whatever. my math may be wrong but my point still stands. we’re in an energy crisissssssssssssssssssss! you need to stop using 10KWH on vampire appliances! ***think of the children! ***

god, how can you expect me to fill my V-10 SUV up with gas an not go broke if you’re going to sit around and WASTE energy all year long!

and then there’s global climate change. you, sir, are inconsiderate!

Heh. I’d post a group shot of my employees, but. . .

Are you trying to be ironic or funny? If so, use a smiley, because I can’t tell.
We are not in an energy crisis, but it’s pretty clear that energy production and transmission will become an increasing problem in the future. Phantom power wastes a significant amount of power each year - estimated at around 7-8%. That’s real money, equivalent to the total generating capacity of Australia.
Still, there are other energy wasters that worse - HVAC and refrigeration, for example.
