Well, they’re spending something on the order of $18 billion to improve their network this year, so obviously it’s not a “screw this, we’re done” thing.

It was the guy who lived near Wrigley who told me that when he complained to AT&T about his service, they told him that they were doing their best to simply maintain service in that area and immediately offered to cancel his contract if he wasn’t happy. I have no external verification of any such thing.
