# iPod/iTunes Random Updates

Whenever I add new stuff to my iPod, iTunes usually tells me it is updating other songs that are already on the iPod. Why?

Did you change tags? Add artwork? In those cases, I believe it uploads the entire song rather than just change that info.

That’s the thing. I didn’t change anything for these randomly updated songs.
