The National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn, made a statement today in relation to Iran’s missile tests. In a bold move, he placed Iran on… DOUBLE SECRET PROBATION! Oops, I read that wrong. Iran has been warned of a RED LINE!! No, that’s something that only loser Presidents do. It appears that Iran is now “on notice.” Stephen Colbert used to have a handy “on notice” board, in which grizzly bears, the Toronto Raptors, business casual, OK Go, and other phenomena, concepts, or proper nouns were alerted that they were on thin ice. So, what does it mean for Iran to be “on notice?” Is this more serious than an “eschew?” What’s next, a “cut direct?” Could this end in a “swipe left?” ---

You kid, but this is actually a bit of relief for me. I’ve been worried for a while that a Trump Administration would overreact and not do these more diplomatic things first. ---

I’m sure the Iranians are giving this the due seriousness it deserves… Look, Persia (which more or less is Iran) has been around a long, long time and they’ve played the political game, both as a “Great Power” and as a subdued one. Not that they are perfect or can’t/won’t make mistakes, but comparing them to the diplomatic team Trump is probably putting together… We shall see. ---

I’m… confused by this thread. You’re… upset, because the president has taken a hard stance against Iran who, by the way, just test fired a ballistic missile and has repeatedly vowed to destroy/nuke Israel and the US? Well, I suppose Trump could have bent over and gifted them a few hundred million. I’m sure you’d love that 🙂 ---
