I was listening to the CBC on the way home from work tonight, and they said that the first wave of missiles were fired at troops in the desert, and it was determined that they could have been fired from within 150 km.
But later in the day, missiles were shot right over Kuwait city from the peninsula, aimed at refineries or the oil fields. Two fell into the ocean, apparently, and two others hit without doing serious damage. The commentator said that these missiles had to have been fired from farther than 150 Km, considering that they went right over Kuwait city, and they were definitely SCUDs.
But that’s all I’ve heard, and I haven’t found a report on the web to corroborate that.
I sincerely hope Milo stays wrong.

They modified the SCUDs, and the other missles to fly farther, so why not anything? It’s the range that’s proscribed, not just the type of missle.
There’s plenty of stuff around. Use google news, and just type in “scud”.
Trouble is, you can’t really know whether it’s true or not yet.
