# Iraq undone: Wolfowitz: Perhaps mistakes were made

I don’t think that the Joint chiefs were in on this so muich as the Pentagon was. The Pentagon _is_ the civilian control of the military. The Pentagon is headed by Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz et al. The Joint Chiefs had their objections. Remeber Gen. Shinseki?
