Ok, I know there is an IRC channel for Dopechat.

Wherinhel is it? I can’t seem to find it.

Didn’t it use to be on Dalnet?

The #straightdope channel is not affiliated or supported by the Chicago blah blah blah blah blah. Keep any conflicts in chat off of the boards, and so on. Be mature.

(Or as mature as chat gets…)

People are often in #straightdope. Many people idle throughout the workday, but it’s more active in the evenings. Right now there’s fourteen people in there.

#sdmb came about as a response to the change in authority on #straightdope. #sdmb tends to be a quieter channel, and there isn’t much overlap between the two.

An IRC Dope Fest…Hmmmm…could be dangerous… 😉

(It would have to be a 24 hour thing so everyone could join in. 🙂
