During the Divorce Referendum campaign in 1995 a no campaigner famously used the term “Wife-swapping Sodomites!”
Has anyone in the world, outside of a Hollywood depiction of an American of Irish descent, ever actually spoken the word begorrah? Much less uttered Faith and Begorrah?
I am not sure. Similar terms like begob, by dad, bejabers etc. are or were very common so it wouldn’t surprise me if it did at some point exist in the wild. Thread I started a number of years ago on the term “top o’ the morning to you” touches on the topic.
