I saw an ep of “Beverly Hillbillies” a few days ago specifically, [this one](http://www.tvtome.com/BeverlyHillbillies/season3.html#ep75), in a story arc about the Clampetts having just purchased “Mammoth Studios.” In this one, Granny is dressed up like Theda Bara in a movie being made on the studio, making goo-goo eyes at Roman Emperor Nero, played by Theo Marcuse.

I just thought this was an interesting turn of casting, Granny as a vamp, and Theo Marcuse, who had a short but very busy career playing bald thugs (probably most remembered for his role in ST: TOS “Catspaw”) in the role of a rather effeminate Roman emperor.
