# Irritated by pot sizes...

Inspired by the thread on food heresies…

I usually cook a certain amount of pasta each time I cook it. I fully acknowledge that my 4 quart pot is too small for that amount. But the next size up that I can find is NINE quarts, which is WAY too big for the purpose.

Why isn’t there any size between 4 and 9? Surely a 7 quart pot MUST have some use?
