[School lockdown lifted](https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/local/austin-middle-school-in-irving-under-lockdown-as-police-search-area/287-d8f8028c-0ce7-4c49-8fe1-388af0405f6c) But wait! It turned out to be a [police officer](https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Armed-Man-That-Prompted-Lockdown-of-Irving-School-Was-Law-Enforcement-Officer-Police-Say-560900521.html)! You’d think that a) police would let the school know what was going on, and b) that, given what’s been happening with people shooting up schools the past few years, police wouldn’t _park their car in a school parking lot then draw a gun on school grounds_. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. ---
