# Is a Borat style mankini acceptable (ie legal) beach wear in most jurisdictions?

[The mankini](http://www.amazon.com/Smiffys-Borat-Mankini-Dress-Green/dp/B000WAWH68) is kind of a joke but could you get away with wearing one in most venues without being arrested for indecency?

As long as it covers the genitals and the anus, it is legal in many places. If I recall correctly, some places have banned speedos, or anything that shows the “shape or outline” of the genitalia, or something like that. So in those places, if the laws have been upheld, it would not be legal.

I saw a guy wearing one in Ocean City, ironically I’m sure, and he walked all up and down the beaches and wasn’t bothered by cops or anything.

I’m getting my partner one for his birthday . . . but they don’t seem to come in sizes. He’s very tall and long, and he could injure himself, trying to stay in that thing (but it’ll be fun watching him try).
