So now what do you want?
Call it a “power rope” and list it in the sporting goods section. Those sell for around $300 new.
You should put something (such as your hand) in the picture for scale, and describe it as 2.7 inches thick.
From the written description, I thought you had an official tugboat-quality tow rope…but after seeing the picture, you don’t. Real tow ropes are braided, white, and have loops at both ends. Same size you have, but in multiple lengths of 50’. They are seriously expensive and insurance companies make the tug companies replace them regularly, so you can buy them used at a port…you just can’t tow with them. I use them for decoration at a fish restaurant.
Looks like you have a piece of poly rope which you can usually buy at Orchard Supply for a couple of bucks per foot.
UPDATE: Thanks to all of you that responded to this question. I now have the answer. After almost one month on Craigslist I got exactly one inquiry on the rope. Someone called me last night and will be coming by today to pick up the rope. Apparently a large ass rope is worth exactly twenty dollars! The man said he plans to use it as a rope swing for exercise.
I thought I would take a few moments to give an update as it is always nice to see a resolution of a thread question. Thanks again everyone!

Damn! I was about to get back to you about that. Ah well, there must be more giant ropes in the world, I’ll get one eventually. However, for the time being, I think my wife will be happy to hear this one won’t be moving in with us.
She may be unhappy as well - did you hear her mutter anything about trying to give you enough to hang yourself with?
If that was her plan she wouldn’t have clued me in.
