IIRC, it was some relationship angst. Elliot’s wife was Walt’s ex or something.
That’s part of it, but the more I see of Walt, the more I think that if things don’t go exactly the way he wants, he won’t play. He has a huge ego, he doesn’t listen to anybody, and he’s extremely competitive.
He could have told Gretchen that he mortgaged the house or was putting his medical bills on credit cards and that he didn’t want Skylar to know.
How long before Skylar does some checking and finds out that Gray Matter’s finances are just fine?
Also it was a pity gesture, secured by his wife. It’s completely genuine, but there’s pride-swallowing involved on Walt’s part.
That’s one reason why Walt didn’t want to get his med bills paid, but the original question was basically why Walt was a teacher and not working for Grey Matters. If he worked for them, this wouldn’t the same show.
Am I the only one who giggled like a school girl when
Patty the Daytime Hooker tipped that ATM onto that dude’s head?
friedo, no, you weren’t. I was almost ashamed of myself, but the moron was asking for it.
The set designers need an Emmy. How do you make a place that grody?
Yup. And both her and her meth-head BF did a fantastic job as being drugged out losers.
I thought that was Patty the Daytime Hooker. She’s got a mug that will keep her employed until the meth epidemic is over.
I think that Walt was genuinely pissed off at Elliot and Walt’s ex because he at least thinks he did the mental heavy lifting for their discoveries and got cut out of it. I think he was being genuine.
Rent it out to crack/meth heads for a few months
I know this unfortunately
Those set designers were NOT exaggerating on what such a house would look like.
Ever rebuild a whole house inside from the wall studs up pretty much by yourself?
Back to the topic, I think some of the scenes are ungodly funny, in a pulp fiction kind of way, particularly the first few epsisodes.
Good Episode. It certainly passed my “holy cow, it’s over already?” test. I see a lot more trouble brewing with Jesse’s idiot friends.
from the previews of next week it looks like Walt and Jesse are getting ready to expand their meth territory.
I’m rooting for Jesse. I cringed when Jesse had to hit the pipe to get the courage up to confront the meth heads.
We’ve watched this show from the beginning. This season’s episode 3 (?)–the one where they were in the house in the desert–is now in my top 5 tv episodes of all time.
