I know you were joking but actually Argentina and the U.S. has something of a parallel history. For example, where the U.S. had the expansion into the west we had the “Desert Conquest”, and so on. ---

Of course in Australia you can choose to live in a part of the country dedicated to the lifestyle of your choice: **Western Australia** for those who crave the comforts of Western society. **South Australia** for anyone yearning for antebellum times when church going. white folks brooked no nonsense from the coloreds. **Victoria** for the prudish and ill informed. **The Northern Territory** for the adventurous. Any adventure seems to lead North or North West. **Queensland** explains itself really. **New South Wales** for people who think they are fresh and bright and NEW but are really just like the Welsh - noisy. **Tasmania**. I think that the fact that Aussies call a woman’s pubic hair “a map of Tassie” tells you what they think Tasmanians are.
