# Is bell pepper a narcotic for anyone other than me?

What? A red pepper tastes different than a green pepper. A red pepper is in a later stage of ripeness than a green pepper, and has a sweeter taste. It’s like the difference between a green banana and a yellow or browning one.

Yep, that’s the effects we were told would ensue from ingesting enough nutmeg to get a high. ☹

Supposedly, it’s from the other things in the nutmeg. I wouldn’t know exactly; I never had the urge for altered reality, at least to that extent.
