# Is Bjork a pseudonym for Emiliana Torrini?

… Because I could swear the voice on the song ‘Gollum’s Song’ (LotR TTT soundtrack) is Bjork!

I know it is highly unlikely (especially as the name ‘Emiliana Torrini’ sounds Italian and Bjork is Icelandic (I think)).

But it just sounds so much like Bjork.

Well, surprise (at least for me!) [Emiliana Torrini](http://www.emilianatorrini.net/bio.html) is from Iceland (Italian father), but if you believe her biography then she’s not Bjork.

Sounded like the singer from The Cranberrises to me. Same vocal style you find in Irish and Scandinavian female Rock singers. I suspect it has some roots in Celtic and Norse traditional music.

I agree, their voices are remarkably similar. She sounds even more like Bjork on some of her other songs.
