# Is Carbondale, Illinois, the most boring town in the United States?

_Roseanne_’s Lanford was a fictional town in Illinois, not Michigan. And all the exterior shots of homes and businesses used on the show were shot in my hometown of Evansville, Indiana – also boring, but much larger than Lanford was supposed to be.

Milwaukee? Perhaps a boring city for its size, but it certainly has a nice riverwalk.

Then again, I found it infinitely easier to find a good time in Cleveland than in Milwaukee, so you may have a point there.
