Doesn’t have to be bad.
I don’t recall any music being played in restaurants in China. But the background noise would have drowned it out if it had been playing.
My hotel sported a large, outdoor beer garden that had a fairly large stage. That stage was used by an assortment of performers, none of which I could understand until a memorable night when some Chinese rappers were on stage. They performed as if their rap was paragraphs on a sheet of paper. Each and every paragraph ended with the word “niggas” if that can be called a word. I wondered then and now if that group considered that word as being in common use in America.
