# Is 'Cracked' magazine more adult-oriented now? I used to read Cracked as well as Mad as a kid in the 70s, and if anything it was more kid-friendly than Mad. Looking at the [Cracked website](http://www.cracked.com/index.php), I was surprised to see things like “you’re trying to nail a Brazilian woman” and “While Morning Guy is usually right, Night Guy is persuasive. It’s why he gets so much more pussy than Morning Guy”. Does the magazine have stuff like that now, or just the website? ---

I remember reading _Cracked_ a few times during the Nixon administration. It was simply a very close copy of _Mad_, complete with its own version of Alfred E. Neuman. Of course, that was before it won all those Peabody Awards. ---

Okay, now that I’ve looked at the website, I’d have to say that rather than being an inferior copy of _Mad_, it’s an inferior copy of _The Onion_. ---

I’ve been reading Jay Pinkerton blog for a while now, and today I see he’s now the new editor of the new Cracked magazine: [http://www.jaypinkerton.com/blog/archives/001411.html](http://www.jaypinkerton.com/blog/archives/001411.html) I guess I didn’t notice his name in the Wikipedia article. He was former Managing Editor of the National Lampoon and sometimes has some very funny stuff on his blog, like his [Superman](http://www.jaypinkerton.com/blog/archives/001320.html) and [Batman](http://www.jaypinkerton.com/blog/archives/001228.html) origin comics. ---
