Usually, though, the standard operating procedure is for the OP of a Pit thread to post some information and/or links thereto about what s/he’s Pitting. You know, just so the readers of the thread can have a fighting chance at figuring out what the OP’s talking about and whether they agree with it.

Those were random hits from a Google search, so if anybody feels the list is too unsystematic or unrepresentative or unclear, blame the OP. Assembling the necessary evidence for the Pitworthiness of his thread topic was Scumpup’s job, and he flubbed it.
Actually, as a non-participant in gun threads, other than in a “comedy” context, I can’t think of one single reason why you should. Yes, those were scare quotes.
