I just finished reading the fiction book _Permanent Obscurity_ by Richard Perez, during which a dominatrix sits naked on a guy’s face per his request. She thinks he is having an orgasm but really his is suffocating to death. At the end of the story, the newspapers call it “ **butt snuffing** ” and the girl is arrested. I know that lots of real people have actually died during S&M play, but could you really smother someone to death with your butt? I know this question seems absurd, but considering that erotic asphyxiation is a real thing, I’d just like to know how far it can be taken. On that same note, do you think the girl would be charged with homicide or manslaughter? How would the police ever determine if it was intentional or not? Really an infinite and fascinating topic when you think about it… ---

Sounds possible to me. If you can’t breath, you can’t breath. It happens all the time in Brazil. It’s called ‘la muerte por badonkadonk.’ ---

Agree that it is possible. Don’t know why you wouldn’t think it was, given the reasonably small area comprising nose and mouth, and the generous proportion of most women’s bums. I do think “snuff butting” a more apt term though. ---

I have to say I’d be interested to see the Mythbusters show on this one… Given the pliability of the flesh in that area, I have no doubt that it could block off the nose and mouth sufficiently to cause asphyxiation. If you can suffocate someone using your hand, which is smaller and more rigid, buttocks should be ample (pun intended). ---

I misread the op and thought that the subject was “butt sniffing” and I envisioned a weird practice similar to huffing with spray cans propellant. I thought that I was just unaware that people were getting high on sniffing other people’s farts and dieing from accidental overdose/ ---

Wouldn’t it be terrible to be trapped and suffocating between a pair of huge byootocks and be praying for a fart just so you could draw breath? I think it would be. ---

**Permanent Obscurity**. Talking about a novel that’s a black comedy. **“Butt snuffing”** – that exactly what happens in the book. Read it 2 weeks ago. It’s accidental. The situation is that the guy is doped up while two girls (who are also high) are making an amateur dominatrix film. Nobody knows what they’re doing, and things spin out of control. In the book the girls talk about “queening” and “pegging” and all kinds of stuff like that. Meanwhile the two girls are involved with each other, hot and heavy. Both dopers.
