# Is Diamonds02 male or female?

I’ve been called a “he” and “she”. Obviously, I’m only one. 🙂 I kind of wonder why sometimes I am thought as the other. This happens on other message boards, not just here.

This seems like an easy problem to solve using logic. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Additionally, diamonds are forever. In order to be “Best Friend’s Forever” with someone, each of you should (ideally) have half of a cheap metal heart on a chain. “Unchained Melody” was sung by dudes, but it’s been far more popular with women than men.
Therefore, you are a woman.

Ah, but neither are most BFFs in fact best friends forever. Even if they stay friends throughout their adult lives, one or both of them usually dies, eventually. So the connection between diamonds and BFFs remains intact, unlike your spurious attacks on my unassailable logic.

I’m going to go the other way on this one and say that “Diamonds02” is new street slang for “pants bling” (otherwise known as testicles), so therefore you’re a guy.
Ok, I made up “Pants Bling” but I’m still going with the OP is a guy.

Well, if you put the proper accentuation on it, you can make “Diamonds02” sound like “D’I’m a mon, this so true”.

Well someone with a similar name on Angelfire is called Mandy, which has the word man in it. The third google link I got for diamonds02 was to a lot of porno. So diamons02 is female.
Though in Clarkston swingers we get
“DIAMONDS02 Full Swap Couple, Completely Open, Age 50 - 48 idaho fun couple Searching for: Couples - Full. Video Speed Dating Email member. AFFUN”
so maybe this is a trick question and Diamonds02 is two people who apparently like swing music.

You could be hermaphrodite.
You could be part-way through a transgender process and confused.
You could be a Turing program, and, thus, an “it.”
It is not true that you are “obviously” only one of the options “he” or “she.”

I read it as “Diamonds O[sub]2[/sub]” More women than amen would put diamonds in the same category as oxygen – unless you’re talking baseball diamonds, in which case the ratio reverses-- but none of that occured to me until later. I simply noted that diamonds are carbon, making your name translate to “carbon dioxide”, and concluded that you were likely an oxygen-breathing carbon-based life form.

Man, that’s the oddest gender-neutral pronoun I’ve ever seen.

Of course, women _have_ been known to compete in baseball (see _A League of Their Own_), and softball (which many men play, but as a collegiate sport is contested by females) is also a diamond-based sport. Then again, diamonds are also a suit in card games, one being poker (basically a guy’s pastimve), but another being bridge, which attracts plenty of gals. So even if I’ve touched on the inspiration for this hominid’s name, we’re no closer to determining said primate’s sex.
