Never heard it used, myself…but some writer claimed it is a mild expletive, south of the Mason-Dixon line. Anyone ever heard of this? ---

I’ve spent most of my life south of the Mason-Dixon Line, and I have never heard of “dogwilly.” The closest thing I can think of is “I’ll be dog” for “I’ll be damned.” But there is no willy in there. ---

I’ve heard “Whee-doggy” or “Whoo-doggy” as expressions of surprise or amazement, but that’s the closest I can come to “dogwilly.” I’ve never heard it. Oh, and I was born, raised, and lived my whole life thus far in Alabama. ---

I’ve never heard it, but I’d like to employ it when an opportunity arises. Does one call the coot puttering in the passing lane a “Dogwilly”, or is it used as an exclamation as in “DawwwgWilly! I sure wish that coot would git outta my lane!” ---

Born and raised below the Mason-Dixon line. Never heard the word in my life. The only result that Yahoo gives when searching for the phrase is this thread. ---

Well, there is “dawg bone”, which is sort of a euphemism for “goddamn”… (I fondly remember a Pogo cartoon in which Seminole Sam is buttering up Albert, who says “Dawg bone!”, to which Sam replies “Dog bone indeed, sir, as you so aptly put it…”) ---
