I don’t know how to label the following… hilarious, ironic, pathetic, or just _DUH??_ The obvious response to the title of the article is “no fucking joke.” :smack:

>
> **Trump vexed by challenges, scale of government**
> _The new president’s allies say he has been surprised that government can’t be run like his business_.
> Being president is harder than Donald Trump thought, according to aides and allies who say that he’s growing increasingly frustrated with the challenges of running the massive federal bureaucracy.
>
> In interviews, nearly two dozen people who’ve spent time with Trump in the three weeks since his inauguration said that his mood has careened between surprise and anger as he’s faced the predictable realities of governing, from congressional delays over his cabinet nominations and legal fights holding up his aggressive initiatives to staff in-fighting and leaks.
>
> The administration’s rocky opening days have been a setback for a president who, as a billionaire businessman, sold himself to voters as being uniquely qualified to fix what ailed the nation. Yet it has become apparent, say those close to the president, most of whom requested anonymity to describe the inner workings of the White House, that the transition from overseeing a family business to running the country has been tough on him.
>
> Trump often asks simple questions about policies, proposals and personnel. And, when discussions get bogged down in details, the president has been known to quickly change the subject — to “seem in control at all times,” one senior government official said …

But, but… Didn’t Trump say his greatest asset was his temperament? 😕

Maybe he put too many letters on the end of that word.

You mean to tell me that running the US government doesn’t have much in common with running a business? Next you’ll try to tell me that sovereign debt is not just like corporate or personal debt.

I caught the so-called President on the radio about 20 minutes ago-- I guess it was the thing with the Japanese Prime Minister. Trump actually said (in essence), “We’ve lost a lot of jobs. A lot of factories have closed. But those jobs are coming back. To Michigan, Ohio, North Carolina. We’re going to be making some announcements in the next…short period of time. Some of you know what those announcements will be.” He mentioned Intel and Ford and implied credit was due him.

Did anyone else hear these remarks? How can he stand there and say the jobs that went away are coming back? Never mind.
ETA.

I’m not convinced he knows all that much about running a business.

It makes me nuts when people act like government debt is just like personal debt.

Let’s take a poll (fake polls and fake news yada yada)
Who actually voted for this asshole?

Who is actually happy with his yuuuuuuuuuuge clusterfuck?

Bonus question… Who else, in our history, ever had so many colossal fuckups, in so short a time?

Our so-called President has placed our country’s reputation in the eyes of the world at serious risk. After only three weeks. What will that reputation be in \<_gulp_\> four years?

So much ineptitude. So little time.

Does The Donald know how to shake hands? With a man, that is. We know what he does with women. Check out these clips. He grabs a guy’s hand and pulls the man forcefully toward him. Look carefully at the roll-eyes expression on Abe’s face when he breaks free of The Trump Grip.

It’s a dominance display, pure and simple. I want to see what happens the day he tries that and the other guy doesn’t move an inch.

It was okay to attack his family (Lisa Lampenelli referring to his wife as “insert name here,” Snoop saying about a possible White House run as “it wouldn’t be the first time you forced a black family out of their house.”), but not his money.

Trump clearly saw money as the sole indicator of success. Multiple wives? I can have them because I’m a winning billionaire! Presidential campaign? I can do it because I’m a winning billionaire! Housing discrimination? I can ignore the law because I"M A WINNING BILLIONAIRE!!! He seems to have recently added public adulation as another sign of success, for some reason.
