I thought it was clear. There was much discussion, above, about the scenarios imagined by individuals. Some fantasized about the thoughts of liberals. I am a Liberal so I gave a first hand account of how I believe Tyranny would take over the US in the event that such a thing happens. Tyranny, by definition, is right wing Conservative. In the US it would probably take the political form of Fascism - a charismatic leader fronting for the military industrial complex. The Liberia slip is probably muscle memory because I collect stamps from Liberia. Crane ---

Oh yeah - my statistics. They were of course part of my speculation on the take over. But, I base them on what is happening today. Some 35% of the population appears to love Trump, another third or so doesn’t care and the remaining third opposes him through the normal political process. There is a fringe population that engages in some sort of armed rebellion. A reasonable fit to my speculation. Crane ---

HurricaneDitka, Where did I say anything about Stalin? Stalin was a tyrant in a political environment so different from our own that our political labels do not translate.
