Any class-action lawyers out there want to sue every mechanic who has ever installed a plug without a patch? The courts have known about the danger since Mar 19, 1989, and yet in 1996 and again in 2009 tire stores and Toyota dealerships are still putting their customers’ lives at risk.
As far as all those who have had good experiences with tire repair, I am not surprised. If 99% of professional tire repairs are good, then there is a 1/10,000 chance of someone like me going 0 for 2. That makes me unlucky, but not spectacularly so.
