# Is "fortnight" common usage in Britain?

Yeah. The very first word she says in [this](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_l5_bPsyYo) video (“well”) pegs her as a Scot.

[li]She sounds nothing like any Glaswegian I have met[/li][li]She does sound like many Northern Irish I have met[/li][li]I’d say that with so many immigrants from Northern Ireland they have influenced the local dialect in (parts of) Glasgow (like in Liverpool) so that one can think that it’s typical Glaswegian[/li][/ol]

She sounds like pretty much every well-educated Glaswegian I’ve ever met. And that number is in the hundreds.

She sounds nothing like any Irish accent I’ve ever heard, and a lot like Scottish accents I have heard. I’m with Baron Greenback - I can’t see where you’re getting Northern Irish from there.
