Something along those lines came up in a “what if?” thread about an American invasion of Canada. I have to figure that by the time the U.S. reached the point of trying it, they were pretty much on the verge of internal collapse anyway. That wouldn’t be very comforting, I admit - they can destroy large parts of Canada in their death-throes - but at least there’d be a kind of avengement. ---

Wellllll… This is one of those way-too-long-to-read-from-the-beginning type threads. I did a cursory look at a page or two back for ninja avoidance, (and yeah I know it’s been mentioned recently in other threads - phone Raymond Burr about it) so, I’ll just mention: …Move over Fox - there’s a new kid in town (like I don’t want to drop any [hints](https://youtu.be/IR_Ii0hXLEk?t=18) or anything), but hey…Fox…there’s this [Johnny-come-lately](http://www.cleveland.com/tv-blog/index.ssf/2017/07/sinclair_purchase_of_channel_8_triggers_concerns_about_local_news_content.html), and you might end up getting side-winded out of the situation…Who knows, maybe you might find yourself, even…competing with them…Possibly…skewing the odd story…a little…leftward, even, just to get at them, somehow…😕 ---

Fox Headline News on satellite radio isn’t bad on the morning drive to work. No self-congratulatory talking head panels with idjits yapping at each other and fawning over equally smug guests (which CNN also features, though in a mildly less objectionable fashion). The accursed thing is on the main screen at my gym (nobody sits there and watches it tho), easily seen from my stationary bike. I haven’t seen a legitimate mainstream product advertised on the thing in Lord knows how long. It’s all gold/silver comeons or redo-your-mortgage scams or ED pills something else of equally doubtful validity, never see Cadillac or Coke or Verizon ads or anything. ---

As much as I love Folkenflik, I found the NPR story a little hard to follow. Donald Trump calls up Fox news and gets them to insert quotes into a completely fabricated story to make sure it includes the message he wants included. Not that it’s terribly surprising, but seeing such a solid paper trial is an unexpected twist. ---
