Whether it merits legislation or some type of judicial review is another matter. Sometimes having the public aware of the ramifications of any action may enough alone to change behavior. If you no longer support such legislation, then good for you. And its within Hogg’s rights (and yours or any American’s) to call for a boycott of any media figure or company, for any reason he/you/they choose. ---

Fox News admits that they are really that bad by showing a [graphic showing it is lowest in trust](http://www.startribune.com/fox-news-mistakenly-posts-graphic-showing-it-lags-in-trust/479130233/) from a recent poll. Oops! As one of the comments at that paper’s site put it: It wasn’t a mistake, it’s a Public Service Announcement! ---

Another wondrous, almost unbelievable data point on the shameless lying bias of Fox News appeared today with advance copies of Comey’s book now available to the media. The legitimate media are of course widely covering what is the most damning exposé ever written about a sitting president. As CNN put it, in a synopsis that was similar to those echoed in media around the world, “[Comey] painted Trump as a relentless liar who is obsessively unethical, devoid of humanity and a slave to his ego, who is clueless about his job and unconcerned about a Russian assault on American democracy … His book is a parable about the threat from a brazen President who demands a warped concept of loyalty and has only disdain for the rule of law.” Fox News seems to want their readers to think the book is about Hillary Clinton. The main heading on the Fox News website: “Ex-FBI boss drops mysterious hint about Loretta Lynch’s involvement in Hillary email probe” – with a big picture of Comey and Hillary – as if that was the main thing the book was about! Even more amazing is the list of subheads – all of them leading to hysterical right-wing opinion pieces instead of factual reporting about the book: [ul] [li]Trump rips Comey as ‘untruthful slime ball,’ as former FBI director attacks president in new book [_I can just see all the sycophants at Fox going “and we totally agree!”_][/li][/ul] [ul] [li]Yellow journalism: Anti-Trump media obsesses over Comey’s salacious, unverified claims[/li][/ul] [ul] [li]NEWT GINGRICH: Comey has written an anti-Trump novel that will be amazingly discredited[/li][/ul] [ul] [li]ROBERT CHARLES: Comey book filled with unproven attacks on Trump, lofty praise for himself[/li][/ul] [ul] [li]‘No bombshells’: Wallace says Comey’s book doesn’t ‘change the equation’ for Trump[/li][/ul] Just an astounding level of bias and obfuscation, even to those of us who expect it from Fox News. ---

Last night, Maddow played a montage of the last few days of Fox News hosts and contributors maintaining a relentless drumbeat of character assassination of Comey, Rosenstein, and the FBI in general. How on earth they can say “Fair and Balanced” without giggling hysterically is beyond me. ---

Well, they do have sage [analysis by Napolitano](http://insider.foxnews.com/2018/04/16/michael-cohen-extremely-dangerous-spot-says-judge-nap), “_[This is] extremely dangerous for Michael Cohen. You never, ever get to question the person you’re going to indict under oath before the indictment. This may very well be a trap for him._” He added that he believes the charges could be “a crime related to fraud.” Fraud. Well. That is insightful. Napolitano also added he believes Cohen has been surveilled by federal officials for months through cellphone conversations, text messages and his emails, as well as bank institutions related to business doings. Dammit. That is how they treat criminal suspects. How dare they spy on a lawyer! Unfair!
