I swore all of my life that there was one kind of guy I wouldn’t be with - balding with a ponytail. Email me if you wanna see a picture of Mr2U. 😃 He’s not my “type” (see above) but he is my type - it’s hard to explain. I love him to death, and we are good for and to each other. I can’t explain it, but if it ain’t broke, I ain’t fixin’ it… ---

My current boyfriend is very much my “type”. I’m not a heavy dater but I definitely tend to get along with certain types of people better. I like outgoing, an offensive/quirky sense of humor, relatively confident, intelligent, well-read. Physically, I’ve always had a thing for jewish men- I think it’s the nose. Oh man. My current is a slightly sketchy-looking large-nosed jewish boy with sand-colored hair and gray (gray!) eyes- up close, they’re very distinctive. He’s intelligent and confident to the point of being cocky, but deservedly so. Very well-read, well-listened, well-watched, and a great random sense of humor. Case in point: he just left a voicemail for me, for nothing but informing me that my name is an anagram for “Mang Ray Ray.” In fact, this is my first semi-serious relationship… and he’s such the epitome of my “type” that I’m worried anyone who comes after will be unfairly compared to this standard… [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/is-he-she-your-type/280104.md?page=1)
