# Is Hillary Clinton qualified to be Secretary of State?

Personally, I abhor the woman. That said, I think the question should be, in every appointment or election, not whether or not a person is qualified—but, are they unqualified? She is not unqualified.
As an example–Jimmy Carter’s actions in the last years makes him unqualified as a SOS, he has demonstrated his anti-USA bias.
Just my opinion.

No, I’m pretty sure that US law specifically holds the embargo up if either Fidel OR Raul is in charge of the country. So it would take a lot to make that happen.

[Better go edit Wiki, then](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuban_Democracy_Act). Barring legislative action, the embargo stays in place until there are democratic elections there.

Hmm, well Hillary was talking about allowing tourism there.
We should abandon the Democratic elections plan. There is no reason for us to insist on it.

Agreed. I don’t China or Vietnam are any more democratic than Cuba, but I can walk into any travel agent and book a vacation there.
