Is Hillary Clinton really a frontrunner for the Democratic candidate?

I don’t think Clinton will be the nom. A lot of Democrats are waiting for someone else emerge so they can through their support behind that person. The perception is that HRC won’t win and the Democrats don’t want to lose in '08. Plus Clinton has that nasty vote on her record giving Bush authority to invade Iraq. The next nominee from the Democratic Party (or the “Democrat Party” for you staunch Republicans) will most likely have to be someone without that stain on his record. This is why I think that Al Gore could make a big comeback. He was adamantly opposed to invading Iraq. That will come in mighty handy if he chooses to run. Just imagine another two years of this shit and think what public support for the war will be. Things could actually be worse in Iraq by then.

McCain is by no means the sure thing for Republicans either. He is getting on and is thought of as a RINO by many Republicans. Someone like George Allen would be much more attractive to the right. And really unattractive to the nation as a whole. Clinton could bet him I think. McCain would also have to defend his staunch support of invading Iraq in '08 as well. Plus those black kids of his.

I see her as Lieberman in a skirt. She is polling her brains out and developing stances that reflect the majorities. I cant figure out who she really is .But she was a Goldwater Repub in her early college days. She is a good politician and ,my bro who lives in New York says she is favored by her contituancies. They find her effective.

Sooooooo… she’s like Lieberman except she’s actually competent and represents her constituents?

Instead of running for prez, Hillary should turn turn the hatred of her by conservatives against them.

Team up with Oprah Winfrey and tour the deepest, darkest Red States with a series of town meetings. The above-board theme should be, “We think you folks have gotten the wrong impression about us”, and reply forcefully to all the false accusations about “liberals”. The below-board agenda would be to point the cameras at all the right-wing jerkitude that will inevitably come out of the woodwork, the better to expose it on national TV.

You imply Lieberman isn’t effective. I dont know about that. Seniority puts you in touch with power and gives you important seats on committies. Also press and tv time.
