Thank Og for legal necromancy. But the OP was about the legality of sibling incest, not cousin marriage (ie, nail sister, not marry cousin).

I don’t understand the “eww” reaction as regards step-siblings. Among my closest friends are a couple who have been married now for nearly 55 years who are step-siblings. It may help a bit to note that they never lived in the same household, nor, until they married, even in the same city. Where’s the “eww” factor in that?

Actually, the mention was of the “48 contiguous states” – that is, the ones other than Hawaii and Alaska. Not that either of them prohibit the eating of boogers, as far as I know.

This thread of mine ([how many days in _Groundhog Days_](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=102179&page=2)) was:
born in Dec 01
revived in April 03
revived again in June 03
revived again in Oct 2010
revived again in Feb 2011
So, 5 lives so far (not that I’m hinting for another revival or anything). 😉
But I have no idea if this is a record. In fact I kinda doubt it.
